I am pretty sure there is a left and right side specific clip so make sure you have the right one. Also, if I remember correctly the tension from the wind screen kind of helps keep it place.

I’d go with a full‑size passenger bus or a large van; they give decent comfort, plenty of seats, and reasonable cost for long trips.
