Default What winch setup

I would like to get a Winch for my 2001 Disco. What is a good choice for a winch and mount?I would like to buy from a place in the USA so I don't have to spend an arm and a leg for shipping.I also want to mount it to the front of my Disco and just want it incase I get stuck in the mud. Thanks in advance.

theres plenty of sites that carry some sort of winch ready bumper:

www.roversnorth.com
www.rovertym.com
www.safarigard.com
www.northwestparts.com
www.get-rhino.com

im not sure if all of them deal with winches, but any 4x4 shop should carry a selection of whinches.

build a raciver hitch hidden in your front bumper. Then mount the winch on a plate with a 2" piece of steel tube so you can slide it in your rear or front reciver. It works awesome cause now you can winch from front or rear or even from your buddies ride. also you can remove it to save weight when you don't need it, like everyday driving, and it will usally be out of the weather.
