Which head unit do you have?

I have the navigation (becker radio i believe) and it carries a CD in it for the nav info. I had the same issue when I got my truck a year ago. It would give me a CD Error, as it turned out it was the single disc changer in the head unit. I took out the nav CD and loaded a reg music CD. Once it recognized it and played through a couple of songs, I replaced the CD and bingo the CD player recognized the cartridge.

Not sure if this will help at all but I know how frustrating these silly things can be. Also, look up Disco Mike inthe forums, in his signature there is a site for all things rover radio related, might be worth it to check them out.

good luck
