Dead Radio - HELP!!
Hello,
Just wondering if anyone has some advice regarding my non working radio:
I have a 95 Discovery.
When I bought it the original Alpine radio was not working. It was completely dead.
I didn't want to keep it anyway - so I put a new Sony radio in (I wired it to the Sony harness).
Unfortunately that is completely dead too. I then checked the wires and there is no juice on the yellow (constant) or any other wire.
I have checked the fuses and they are good.
I have heard that the Discovery 1 had problems with rain water leaking through and messing the wires up.
Has anyone got a clue how to fix this? As a last resort I will wire the radio directly to the battery but I am trying to avoid it.
Thanks
Ben

All caps HELP for a radio problem?
Have you downloaded the RAVE manual? It details the wiring for the radio. Anything else not working? Cig lighter dome light etc etc.? How about checking for power at the amp in the rear door? Do you have a cd changer? Power there?
Why would you wire directly to the battery? Are you trying to burn your truck to the ground? Worse case scenario find a fused ignition on power source to power up the radio. Make your own ground and speaker connections.
