I'm glad you're not having issues, but I'm still skeptical. 2wd or 4wd has nothing to do with using 87oct fuel. Not too many people have continued t think that's a good idea for very long.

I can get about 24mpg on my 8,000lb 3/4 ton dodge, quad cab, long box, 4x4 w/ 5.9 cummins diesel.......if I base that on 100 miles of flat, 2 lane road, for 100 or so miles at 50 mph. Doesn't mean jack though because I never drive it like that.

He said he drives like a granny.

I'd say...if someone comes on here, makes a couple posts and bounces....call b.s.

But this guy has been here awhile now, has posted a thread about how he removed his parts, posts his findings on mpg...and doesn't leave....that automatically makes his claims plausible at the very least.

If I could get an average of even 15 I would be grinning like a kid at Christmas.
Most of my driving is stop and go though so, I don't see it happening.
at least gas prices are dropping...for the moment anyway. could be the calm before the storm?
$3.36 for premium down my way, not good but better then the $4.00+ a few months ago?
I was reading somewhere that gas is like $8 a gallon in the UK or somewhere. I'd have to ether move or buy a vespa.

its mid-term elections another one of those funny american political things.
the gas prices always drops the month before elections and goes back up weeks later.

yep, too bad you can't store it long term like diesel (can't you store diesel long term?). besides.. I don't have an underground storage tank off hand.

Correct...Diesel and fuel oil don't really go bad. I wouldn't ever use old diesel in my truck but I moved a couple hundred gallons of 10-15yr old fuel oil and burns just fine in the oil furnace I have.
