Default Trying to get a new Thermostat

I'm trying to order a new thermostate and can't seem to find one that is for a 2000 Disco II. I called Auto Zone and he said it would be $80, I said why so much and he said because it come with an entire housing unit. Can't I just get a normal thermostate? Do I need to tell the parts guy a certain part number for him to get me what I want?
Thanks

That price is way too high, but have you looked under the hood at what the thermostat looks like? It's inline, so you have to get the complete assembly.
