Default Trying to get first disc

Hi everyone. Im new to the forums and rovers. I just love these vehicles and was wondering what to expect when owning one. Like is maintenance like(I'm located in America). I really fell in love with this look.

to me it just screams ruggedness. i love how these things just work in almost any terrain.

I probably have around 12,000 to spend give or take a few thousand. And I really don't know what I'm looking for specifically.

read the sticky thread on what to look for when buying a rover, then ask any specific questions, If you don't like working on cars, or paying someone to, run hard and fast.

X2. Take a look at this thread:

and this:

and this:

Then ask away with any questions you might have.

Default F all that!!!

if you're looking for a daily driver, buy a Disco from the 21st century (unless you are a competent, mechanically minded person). if you have another vehicle at your disposal buy any year you can get the best deal on. By best deal I don't mean just price. Pay more for a LR that has meticulous maintenance records and upgrades. ...Buy cheap and you'll get cheap...

OR buy this... https://landroverforums.com/forum/sh...3AMEWAX%253AIT

Remember, these trucks are tough, reliable and will take you just about anywhere... IF you take care of it all the time and stay on top of maintenance and funny noises.

For the price range you are quoting you can get an Ex-MOD. That is British retired military Ministry of Defense vehicles. You can't find a stouter better cared for Rover
late model series three Rover. They are awesome.

A friend of mine in Greensburg PA has one he had imported from England.
