if it was dead or the wrong one you would not see a difference.

Mine was loosing power at about 2500rpm so i replaced the part within the red circle (i have forgotten what its called) there is also 3 pipes that come from it and i replaced them as well, it made a huge difference.
Check all the pipes for cracks and splits
Some one on here should know what it is called.
Sorry i can`t be more helpful.

ECT seems to be reading fine sat in the sun all day, ect read 89 deg ext air from ac display showed 86 degrees. I also plugged the MAF back in before driving back home under 30mph whole way only 3 miles driven. MAF display on ultra gauge wasn't that helpful driving due to the slow update of the bus but it did spike to 30 g/s when laying on the gas a bit. Parked I tested when I got home and at steady 3000 rpms it reads around 20 g/s. Not sure if those numbers are accurate or what but maybe someone has an idea of what I should be looking for. Couldn't find the % pitch of the butterfly but probably just over looked it.

But let us assume that it has a number, and that we can see it, the important thing is that it changes, and smoothly; not like the static on a dirty volume control on a car radio or grand dad's Vox Super Beatle amp.

Agree with clean when cold MAF sensor or replace.
^ yea about the gradual increase.

My tps reads 0 at idle. It's Bosch no codes

OK, but the page from the Bosch manual says you should get a code below 3%. Sorry your truck is broke, but if you chase this kind of problem you'll end up broke as well. And there could be a revision to the manual that I don't have, or a TSB; being a shade tree mechanic (2nd Class), I'm not on the LR documentation update list. Let us both be happy that your truck is running good.
