Default no turn signals or hazards

Have a disco I bought, built another motor and a whole bunch of other small things. Last problem to get this driving on the street is that the turn signals and hazards both don't work. Same symptom for both. Turn the indicator left and light blinks once and thats it, same for the right and same for the hazard switch. All the fuses are fine, tested the relays and they are fine. Power is coming into the fuse block under the steering wheel, but not getting power to the relay. We physically put power to the relay and the turn signals light up. Any advice on this one? This has had me stumped for quite a while now. Is there a chance the circuits in the fuse panel are bad? Thanks.

Check your bulbs are actually not blown.

If you have one bulb out they flash faster as an indicator. It might be that if you have two bulbs out, they won't flash at all.

Guessing, but an easy thing to check.

^just seen you might have tested the bulbs. But make sure every one works. Even the little side, wing ones.

All of the bulbs are good, they were literally the first thing I tested as I was hoping that would be the easy solution. I have the RAVE manual, went through some of the circuits with my buddy. It just seems the relays are not getting power to them. I'm more of a mechanical guy, they electrical stuff is a pain.

Do the Land Rovers have flashers. When you turn on the signal, does the light come on at all, do they flash once as the dash light comes on for that second?

Only the dash lights will flash once and then stop. The actual lights on the outside of the vehicle do not flash at all, but the bulbs are all good.

You don't have LED signal bulbs do you? I switched to LEDs at a point and they did this because they didn't draw enough power, had to switch back to standard bulbs.

According to the electrical diagram. All three switches, left right and hazard, go straight to the BCU(Body Control Unit), from there they go to the two relays in the passenger fuse box then to the lights themselves. Fuse 14 in the engine compartment fuse box, fuse 29 in the passenger fuse box.
Hope this gives you some places to look for loose wires or something.

My money is on F14 in the under hood fuse box. It feeds the IDM (Intelligent Driver Module) which seems to serve as the flasher. It is an integral part of the passenger compartment fuse panel and cannot be serviced individually.

Either that, or you need a new IDM (i.e., new passenger compartment fuse panel.)

Did they work before all the engine swapping?
