Default 2001 TD4 Transmission

My 2001 TD4 refuses to go into reverse after the drivetrain was put back in. It was being driven as a 2 wheel drive for a while after the rear transfer box was damaged but later replaced.

Sounds like the selector cable needs adjusting. Looks simple enough in the manual to do so shouldn't cost too much at a dealer.?
