Default Engine blowing out oil ?

Do you have any idea what the possible causes that would make a 2002 Freelander V6 engine blow out oil ? Could it be a bad PCV valve or a cracked line going to the PCV valve ? Where can you get a replacement part if this is the problem ? Wes

If the PCV system is clogged the crank case can over pressurize and blow a engine seal.
Start by replacing the PCV system.

actually it is probably the rings.

only in the winter time does the pcv hoses cause the system to stuff up.

but pull the dipstick if it pushes it out its a new engine. The rings are shot and pushing the oil out. Seen it twice. Kid put two seals in and couldnt figure why they blew out. of course the thing misfired like crazy and had little power but under load it blew pretty good.

Sounds like he's talking about the little plastic cam covers on the front of the block that somehow work themselves loose and dump oil everywhere.
