Default headlight

Low beam left front headlight out. high beams work on both headlights. I changed the sealed beam on the left and it didn't fix the problem. Any ideas why low beam front left would suddenly quit working and it not be a bulb problem? Thanks in advance

So you changed the bulb on the left side?
Did you swap the bulbs to make 100% sure the bulb works and you didnt get a bad one?
What year and model do you have?

Could also be a fuse, D1 uses separate ones for each side F4, F5, F10, F11. F22, F10, F9, F3 in a D2.

One possible verbiage problem.....
There are four settings for the headlamps...
1) off - stalk is turned all the way toward the driver (call it "position 0")
2) "city lights" or parking lights as they are often known. stalk is clicked on position forward. Let's call this position #1
3) Low beams. Stalk is turned two clicks forward. call this position #2
4) high beams. Stalk is turned to position #2 and then lo/hi is selected by pulling back o the stalk.

Now, based on those definitions, which lights do and don't work?

Yep, those city lights are ultra low beams for sure.

you guys know without the year make and model it could be everything you guys haven't listed yet.

it could be a newer vehicle with alot more complicated stuff on it.

Thanks for the replies! This is a 1992 Range Rover County. The high beams work and when set to the normal low beams position #2, the right front headlight works fine but the left headlight does not. If I push the stalk forward for "hi-beams" both lights work. I replaced the left sealed headlight with one from Napa, and the same thing happened.

Rovin4life....you could be right. I thought I was in the D1 section of the forum for some reason. Brain fart

Fouts, my bad. What I wrote may not apply to you as I'm not too familiar with your vehicle. Please put your vehicle info in your 'signature' line so we can help more in the future.
