Default remote battery and programming

My remote started playing up a while back, I suspected the battery may have been discharged. I took the remote apart with difficulty, and the battery is soldered on to the board.

With a bit of effort the battery is no removed, and I am soucrcing a replacement.

When I replace the battery will I have to reprogram the remote, if so is there a way to do it without having to pay the dealer £90. I still have a working second key.

Appreciate any help.

Now my other remote has stopped working, this is a real PIA.

Is there an easy way to open this remote up to replace the battery, my last attempt almost ruined it.

Any alternative sources for a replacement casing.

I had to break into my remote and replace the battery, it's working fine now.

I'm just concerned why it doesn't appear to be charging properly, it's used every day, and according to the manual it's charged when docked and the engine is running

Surely this shouldn't be happening, or at least the remote should be relatively easy to open and an "unsoldered" battery available for replacement.

Hope someone can help.
