Default dropping fuel tank '95 RR

does anyone have any experience or knowledge about dropping the fuel tank on a 1995 Range Rover 4.0? I have a problem where the fuel gage always reads empty, I was told it was the sender or something and I would have to drop the tank in order to reach it for replacement. I checked the gage and it works, so how hard is it to drop a fuel tank on a SUV like this?

Hey! has the gas tank been replaced by the dealer yet? I just got a recall notice that the gas tanks on these may crack and leak. I know it is old news, but just wanted to throw that out there.

this one's ez. just disconect all your fuel lines from the tank. remove the gas tank straps and lower you tank. it's easier if your tank is low on fuel. you can do this on the ground make sure you have a jack and some help. one more thing. disconnect your battery first.
