Default need advice! 2003 range rover purchase....or not.

hey Mates,
I love range rover and its always been a little dream of mine and my wife to own a range rover. I had a disco 2 for a long time and loved it but eventually sold it =(. someone in a our neighborhood now wants to sell me his. it is a 2003 with 120k. and the front driver airbag needs to be replaced.

I know that would scare some people but the price is very good! (looking at potentially under 9k!)
what is your opinion on this? what all would be involved with fixing/replacing the front driver airbag? how difficult would it be to do myself?

also he has the oem land rover screen replaced with a touch screen apline dvd player which im not a fan of. how expensive/difficult would it be to put in a used oem screen back in?

thanks guys! let me know if you need more info!

The fix is certainly doable, but I would question what caused the airbag to go off... Also, its easy to switch back to stock stereo, no issues there.

thanks nicke,
what should I check for that would enable me to discover the cause of the problem? also good to hear the screen switch would be a non-issue. would it be just a matter of plug and play? thanks!

actually now I have heard some negative things about the oem screens so perhaps I will just keep the alpine unit....if i get the vehicle. would I miss out by not having the oem screen?
