Default Problems in the Hood

My left/driver's side hood is not latching properly. I noticed it when I was driving on the highway and there was a slight shaking on from the left side of the hood. I pulled over to make sure that the hood was properly closed before I would be replacing the hood and a windshield. Closing the hood again only secured the middle and right/passenger side, the left/driver's side still was properly securing. What do you guys think is the problem? Is it the latch or striker?

actually is the latch, you can take out the latch and lube them with antiseize to make sure the cable and the latch move freely.
