Default What did you get done this week?.....

Thought I'd institute (or reinstitue) a WDYGDTW Land Rover edition thread.

Pretty simple, just post pictures or descriptions of whatever project or maintenance you completed on you Land Rover.

----------

I got a few small tasks done : Gave it a wash. I swapped out a headlight and parking light bulb. Cleaned up my battery posts and cables with a wire brush, and installed some "quick connects" so that I can wire up some Hella's and power up my CB. Drilled some holes in my bumper to mount a bracket for my license plate (since I got rid of my factory brush bar I had lost my mount spot).

Also painted the trim pieces below the headlights with Rustoleum truck bed liner. It's a subtle, but aesthetically pleasing little detail. The paint was pitted due to small rocks and such from highway driving. Here's a before and after...

Well, I helped stain a new shelter and dig the holes and pour concrete for footings of a fence at a national park to help a boy with his Eagle Scout project.(used the Disco to get there) Then I used the Disco at a friends house to pull up about 10 bushes from his yard. He was worried I would tear up his lawn. I just put it in low range and engaged the CDL and never had a problem at all. He was very impressed.

i took a sawzall to trim my ARB because my tires were rubbing them in the front edge of the wheel well, set up those limb risers (pics in other thread) and tonight im drilling a drain in the winch tray of the ARB so water can seep out instead of sitting still, greased the u joints and slip shafts, just ordered a HD rear bumper and 10 hella lights.

Changed out the rotoflex/ flex coupler/ whatever the hell you wanna call the rubber ujoint on the rear D/S. Ordered some LED bulbs and comtemplated putting on my new General Grabber AT2's. Generous application of lube to the u-joints and slip yoke. Then threw my golf clubs in the back and went to the driving range.

What bulbs are you replacing and where'd you get them from?

I bought some replacements for the interior and the only one that fit was the front dome light :/ Another Rover quirk, there are 3 dome lights, but 2 different styles of lights.....UGH

Took the time to tighten up the oil cooler lines at the radiator. They've been leaking for a bit - the bottom one way more than the top one. It was getting oil all over the place. Thus why I finally took a moment to tighten them back up.

Then I topped off the oil, topped off the coolant, checked the power steering fluid, and other little stuff in preparation for an offroad trip this weekend.

Nothing sexy done, just maintenance.
