Still looking at aftermarket wheels, and this thread is still relevant. I see that only two Redbourne wheels are approved for the Defender, and they are always sold out. I would like to put the Hercules wheel on, but the backspacing may be a deal breaker.

Anyone have a Redbourne wheel other than the Ashton or Morland?

Seems odd.
its about demand. Vast majority want quiet comfortable tires so they do an upcharge for the better tires regardless of actual cost. All wheels probably mounted with standard and then need mount and balance for offroad.

Given the paucity of after market wheels with the right offset, I gave up and snagged some take off oem Defender wheels at a reasonable price on eBay to serve as winter wheels. There should be a growing supply of take-off wheels coming up on eBay as more Defenders get sold.

So, their own Defender was probably delivered without those pucks as well.
which D5 calipers? I don't remember which D5 has the smaller calipers in the rear but it's something very specific... like non tow SE diesel or something... and the rest are too big

Thank you Tartan! I just bought a set of 20" OEM Defender take-off wheels on eBay. Now if Nokian would just hurry up and make a winter tire in the Defender's 20" size.

Yes, Nokian’s would be nice. If they don’t come out with one soon, I’ll have to go for either the Pirelli or Conti winters as those are the only choices. Can’t decide which as reviews are all over the place per usual.

Default OEM SILVER 20” power coated black by dealership.

This is a great option too if you grab a Defender and hate the silver. Or there are 2 or 3 sets of the silver 3-star on EBay right now. The dealer hated the silver and sent out to wheel place to powder coat jet black. They’re beautiful.

Just put 20x9 with a 35mm offset Fuel Assault wheels on my wife's a couple weeks ago. Fit no problem and they are hub centric to the car. I don't know if she has that anti vibration thing or not, but the wheels work perfect and look so good.

Hi guys,

Finally after ordering in July my Defender came in.

I get to pick it up on Monday, but wanted to share a picture that I got on Friday night. Super excited to finally have it.

Rob-
what’s the wheel/tire combo? Looks great!
( I’m looking at an Eiger but don’t like the factory 20s that are one there)
