Default “Chirp” from tranny with power downshift-P400

Anyone else noticed a subtle squeak or chirp from the tranny when it downshifts under load? I don’t always hear it, but I have definitely heard it more than once. Very subtle. Not concerned (I’m an optimist LOL), just wondering if anyone else has noticed this? Searched the forum and didn’t pull up anything.

I would get that noise checked by your dealership while the car is still under warranty, just to be on the safe side. Best to get the noise on video so that you do not get the typical "can't duplicate" diagnosis from the service tech.

Experiencing the same thing with our 2021 P360 Discovery. Did you ever figure out the cause and/or solution? Same drivetrain as your Defender.

We saw this once and it was the serpentine belt. Replaced the tensioner, pulleys and belt and noise went away.

Another possible culprit is the trans heat shield cage(if fitted). They break at the tabs and make a chirp noise.
