110 shifts to neutral in autostart
#51
I came looking for this discussion and am glad I found it. I've had my '23 P300 110 (coil springs) for about a month, and noticed the slip into neutral a handful of times. It's also frequently hard to get into reverse or forward from park when first turned on, and I see from this discussion that those issues may be related. I'll take it in for service and ask them to apply the update in the TOPix SSM 75717 you've all noted. I'll report my results here.
@Ross of Anakie - thank you for your meticulous recordkeeping and analysis. Very helpful to document the issue and the fix.
Yours,
Mike

Mike,
Glad to help.
It’s interesting to me as a retired automotive engineer that after six months of this issue being reported from all over the world LandRover don’t appear to have instituted a procedure to have the fix installed prior to delivery, nor have they alerted owners out there driving candidate vehicles of the need to bring them in for upgrade.
I was almost rammed from behind by a 20 ton truck as a result of this happening so it’s no minor issue.
Mike, please turn off AutoStop every time you start up until it is fixed.
Regards,
Ross

I just wanted to thank you for your good work with this post back in July.
There have been many owners, including myself, who have been able to get the fixes done directly as a result of your great work in finding the fix and posting it here - and attaching the actual TOPIx which we were able to take to our dealers.
Right up to this day, five months later, more cases are still turning up - so all I can say is you were/are still much better than LandRover at getting on top of this problem.
Regards,
Ross
