We ran two old Defenders for five years, as our only vehicles.
lt was great, but l was always either outside on the drive doing a repair, or one of them was in the shop having something done.

We now have a new Jimny and a new Defender, and l have nothing to do at weekends. l am thinking of buying another old Defender as a third vehicle and doing it up. The garage is full with boxes of old Defender spares, so l've got a head start.

@lightning can we see pics of the new Jimny? I don't think we get those here in the US and read about them frequently on the overseas forums.

Ditto @NativeTexan ! I could easily find myself in exactly the same decision path you went thru..... Thanks for sharing.

The Jimny is like an old Defender but smaller and more refined.

How do you like the NEw Age cabinets? I've been back and forth between Husky Heavy Duty and the New Age. I want the Husky but they're constantly outta stock at my local Home Depot. The tool boxes for New Age are great for home use but I feel like I need more storage for tools (vs cabinets). I wish they had bigger boxes but I guess you could always go with 2 like you have here or even 3. I'm definitely in analysis paralysis. lol

Also how tall is your refridgerator? I love how you've more or less 'built' these in.

Also how do you like the stainless steel top on the boxes? I was looking at a set with that vs a wood butcher block style. I'm afraid the stainless steel will get scuffed up quite a bit with use. How has your's held up?

The New Age Cabinets are awesome! These are the "Pro Series" and they are mounted to the wall studs so they will hold the entire house up!!!! I vacillate between stainless and the wood countertop. The stainless definitely scratches up, but that's part of the patina over time I guess just the same as wood would do. I love the stainless look and once you get the first scratches on them, it won't matter. The fridge is 61 3/8" tall.
I would definitely go with the New Age Cabinets!!!! They have been a great investment.

Here are a couple more pics
