I wanted some advice RE: how to fit tie-down rings on the landrover roofrack for a D90?
I am only finding on the market those that goes on the roofrails (and not on the roofrack itself).

Lots of options, just not specific for the Defender. There are M8 and M6 stainless rings available on Amazon. You can use T bolts, again from Amazon, Thule T Bolts, or just get M8 stainless bolts grind/file off 1mm and they work as T bolts as well. There are actual T bolts from Land Rover, but specifically for their military vehicles. They all slide into the slot in the racks. Use any kind of washer, I also use a nylon washer to act as a lock and also keep r=from marring the rack. I do get them in various lengths, but also cut them to fit for other applications.
