Funny you mention. I have the RRS SC V8 and was thinking I was going to miss that engine and was considering keeping. However, just took delivery yesterday of my P400 and I was very surprised at how much off the mark it has. I think the SC is going on the block.

What year RRS? When I test drove the P400 after driving my RRS SC (2011), I did not think it felt as fast. No stopwatches involved but the instant power of the V8 was much more noticeable. Sounds better than the inline 6 too. I admit, my opinion is very subjective so I will not be making any bets. I know the newer RRS SCs are much faster than mine, given the weight advantage.

All that being said, I really was pleasantly surprised by the performance and refinement of the Defender and the way handled—certainly better handling than my body on frame RRS.

I only went to test drive the Defender out of curiosity, but ended up ordering one.
