I ordered the large screen

 

My order has been in since mid march and just got pushed a month back allegedly due to the larger screen shortage. 7/23 build (pushed from 6/11) and 10/22 delivery to the USA west coast...

 

That seems like a long time/delay. I just looked at the screen shot the dealer sent, here is the timeline:

• Created 3/10
• Confirmed 3/11
• Last date for spec change 5/5 - though keep in mind I ordered on 5/1.....the dealer gave me an existing order I found out
• Committed to build 5/10
• Built 6/10
• Build market distribution 6/11
• At retailer/retailed 7/30

 

When was your last update? I reached out earlier this week trying to get my vin number since the build date was last week only to find out it didnt happen...

 

I reached out on Tuesday asking for the vin#, they were able to provide it…also verified with my insurance company. I bet your build is up next and you will have a vin shortly. It seems like our original orders were days apart.

 

I appreciate your optimism but I think that is doubtful.

FWIW - They quoted my delivery as 7/3 and it arrived 6/12. I'm crossing my fingers that you have the same good luck / kharma and your's comes in before expected.

 

I 2nd what GrouseK9 said! Think positively, the timeline they gave seems off as well.

 

I ordered late-march with the larger screen. I was told two weeks ago mine would be arriving in a week or two. I will stop by the dealers lot tomorrow afternoon to see if it's sitting there with the wrap on it, last weekend it wasn't there, someone's tasman arrived. I'm still not in any hurry because my last lease payment is August 25th and I told them several months ago I was not keen on bailing out of my Q5 lease early ... unless they want to bail me out of it. They said no back when I ordered now they're suddenly interested again. Apparently the used car market took off big-time in the past few months. I should probably get the interior detailed and see what carmax offers.

 

Also try VROOM & Carvana. Both of those will give you a tentative on-line offer. I recommend comparing the three of them.
