2022 Defender Door noises
"Oh come on guys.. really?? We have a 80K car that has a crap rubbers and your solution is to spray??
Tomorrow I will go at the LR dealer center here in Italy, I will explain that issue come from rubbers, I will sign the current rubbers on bottom side with a specific sign that I can recognize.
I will ask to change them, WTF, it's a defender not a Fiat. I don't want to waste my time to spray anything."
So this is very common, with BMW, M-B, JLR, Audis.. etc. It's environmental conditions, slightly dirty seals, moisture or humidity, and the rubber compound. Clean the seals thoroughly, buy some rubber treatment like Gummi Pflege or Sonar Rubber care and treat it.
In other words, I don't think there is an inherent flaw in the seals unless they changed the compound (my 2020 has no issue) and I think you're being a bit high maintenance. At every wash I clean the rubber seals. Zero noise. I learned this trick with my old F80 BMW M3 (old meaning 2016) which did the creaky seal thing starting at about 6 mos old. Keeping them clean and treated made it go away. In that instance, BMW dealers were actually putting some sort of tape or PPF on the painted surfaces that the seals contacted in the door jambs, to alleviate the friction that caused the noise. Not replacing the seals...

Adams VRT is amazing. I use it on all rubber seals and have for years. My Jeeps always squeaked after after several months in warm weather and this always fixed the issue. The seals look brand new, even after years of Texas heat.
