I've had a few issues with my 2022 110 SE. The worst - on a few occasions the vehicle has completely powered itself off while I was sitting at stop sign. Took it in to the dealer multiple times for that and they can't find anything wrong. My 110 was also delivered with a non-functional satellite radio, and the vehicle spent a few weeks in the service center while the techs dropped the headliner to change out the antennas. Besides that, I'm dealing with a crack in my windshield from a rock strike below the visible part of the glass that then spread, the common known crackling noise on the driver's side A-pillar, and for some reason I get cracking/creaking noises from the sunroof on occasion. I need to try retorquing the roof rack bolts to see if it helps fix that one. Besides that, I've put 4000 miles on the vehicle in the past 3 months and it's been an absolute joy to drive.

Just to counterbalance the reported problems - 2022 110 SE, 4 months, 4000 miles, no problems other than the known very intermittent failure of the proximity sensor to detect the key fob and the door seals creaking (fixed with silicone oil).

I am truly amazed at this thread. It's like I am reading an Onion article. You pay all this money for a sh*tbox and continue to praise them just because they look cool?

"Our left us stranded on the side of the highway after a complete electrical failure/our shocks failed/mine makes all kind of rattle noises/mine has a faulty wiper that needs adjusting/mine is falling apart literally at the seams.. and yet we are all so happy and believe it's "JUST THE JOY OF LAND ROVER OWNERSHIP???"

Truly clown world.

No - it has nothing to do with clowns - it's because you apparently don't understand statistics. All products have measurable failure rates, and if you ask for reports of failures then that is what you will get, whether it is a Land Rover or any other make. Most people understand that the probability of serious failure is low and that if it happens to them then they were unlucky, especially if they really like the vehicle - they don't immediately assume that the product is fundamentally flawed.

But there's no denying that the "measurable failure rate" for LR is significantly higher than other makes. When I mentioned this to a salesman at the LR dealership near my house his response (after initially denying it) was "that's why you lease Land Rovers rather than buy them"...visit over, never went back.

I'm sure it's higher than for some other makes, but I've seen no hard data at all for the new Defender - just assumptions that it will be the same as the worst of the previous models. And it's all too easy to exist in a bubble and be blissfully ignorant of all the problems reported by owners of other vehicles. The complete inability of so many people to understand the difference between anecdotal and statistical information is just baffling.
