I got my Defender 110 V8 about a month ago and when I first got it the exhaust gladly popped, cracked and farted when in Dynamic mode. Sometime after day 1 it no longer makes those wonderful sounds.
I've tried, dynamic, eco and comfort modes and no loud cracks. I've tried manual shifting with paddles and still no sounds.
Could it be the Texas heat, fuel (Using 93 octane premium Shell, Exxon,Mobil) or is there something wrong? Any help would be appreciated.

 

Hi, did you or anyone figure out why ? I just picked one up and it sounds pretty quiet.

 

Maybe something with your valves. Mine has seemingly gotten louder with time.
