It's always been like that since inception. Given their inability to manage their supply chain, if they had to manufacture a graphic on a key button just for one vehicle then we would likely have no keys with our trucks.

Yeah I figured as much, plus it does make sense from a cost standpoint.

i'm not 100% sure but the trunk button unlocks the back door only, doesn't pop it, but unlocks it. Either that or there is some other feature that when I tried it to see what it did that the door opened instead but didn't unlock the passenger/front doors.

You’re right.

IIRC, the other advantage is that your vehicle doesn’t come alive with the Pivi screen, the rest of the interior lights, etc…which saves the battery, especially if you’re camping.
