Default 2023 orders timing

So we are on a list to get a Defender. Our dealer said we’re about 50th in line, so once our allocation comes up it’d be 4-5 months.

we’re also on the list for any Defenders that were ordered that people back out of. Not like that means much since we’re 50th anyways…

Does anyone know “a” rate of delivery right now for Defenders?

I’m curious what the real timeframe to wait should be…is it 4-5 months wait, then 4-5 months build time?

I am 7th in line for an allocation and my dealer told me that they Hope to get 4-5 allocations per month. Not sure if all dealers get the same amount of allocations.

I put in an order 2 weeks ago and just got my build date as Feb 11 with delivery in April. Went to the highest volume dealer in town. There was also a few thousand dollar deposit upfront so the line wasn't too long.

There is only one dealer in my area. So no shopping available as dealers are not allowed to sell out of area due to supply issues. I placed a deposit back in August for an 110X… at the time there was 9 others before me for an 110X. I’m still waiting for a build allocation. I asked a couple weeks ago and they said my build is getting close. In the meantime, I managed to buy a used one with 6000 miles from CarMax a couple months ago…luckily before the crazy price increases! Took a month to get… but worth it. Only cost $200 to transport to my local store.

Oh… forgot to mention my new order is at MSRP….but the dealer has informed me that they are now charging 7% ADM over MSRP… but since I have a signed purchase agreement, mine will be MSRP. So score!

What is 7% ADM? I am thinking of putting a deposit now. Was told early '23 delivery date. Btw, are deposits refundable?

Added Dealer Markup. So if the MSRP was $75k, sales price would include +7% of the MSRP …$5250 ADM equating to a final price of $80,250. My dealers $2000 deposit is non-refundable, but each dealer will be different as with the ADM if any.

Lol, added dealer markups.... I wish we could buy from LR directly.

Anyway, I am looking at '23 delivery @ MSRP. Refundable $2.5K deposit. Pushes my budget a bit, so will have to sell my beloved '04.

wow that is quick. I thought orders were at least 6 months+ no matter where you ordered.

I’m 6th in line to order, was told allocation is in January. $2500 refundable deposit plus a decent markup which I’m still trying to lower.

No way I am paying a markup on a depreciating asset. If they start playing w me, then Taco it is.
