I think it depends on your point of reference because my Range Rover is considerably quieter. More aero, dual layer side window glass, triple front, more sound deadening, etc, etc. The Defender is noticeably louder - although it is massively quieter than my LR3 with its roof tent ;- )

The window seal is what they are replacing next and what they replaced once before (apparently they didn’t bother to look at what was done last year for the same issue. SMH). They are also going to evaluate what may be causing it to wear prematurely. If they identify anything I’ll let you know.

Your point is valid. This isn’t about the Defender being noisier compared to another vehicle - it is a brick on four wheels - it’s about a defect compared to how the Defender should perform (i.e. a failed seal). I don’t expect it to be quiet compared to other vehicles, but I do expect it to perform to the baseline I purchased.

Thanks again for everyone’s input

Yes but you are comparing it to a 200K top of the pile luxury SUV which is designed to be Rolls Royce level of quiet - the Defender by comparison is louder, but it is "not a noisy vehicle” - I have other noisy vehicles, and other quieter vehicles.

This guy's dealership is being moronic by claiming it’s a noisy vehicle was my point - You cannot / should not make that claim with an L663 with a straight face to a customer.
