Default 2024 Defender 90S Fold Flat Floor?

"Flat Loadspace Floor Tray (Available from late 2023. Please ask Retailer for details." When you build a 2024 I see this. Picture looks like a flat floor. Can anyone confirm please? Thank you.

The picture shows the rear seat cushion removed and placed behind the two front seats. I saw a video where you can do this with any 2020 and up Defender 90. Please correct me if I am not seeing this correctly. I have never tried it with mine.

Real photos of the changes were posted recently on the "The New Defender Owners Group" Facebook group by a member. He shared multiple photos of the seats folded down.
on the 24 model year it is now a flat fold seat on the D90

I saw where in the press release that the seat and grab handles had changed. Thank you for the info. I tried to join the page a while back. Still waiting approval.

The seats have always had the ability to fold flat, been doing it since day one on my 2022X. It takes almost 3 minutes, with the disconnecting the seat heaters taking the most time. I put a padded cover over my seats bottoms when I put them vertical behind the front seats. Now the tray, I can have one made by tomorrow, had not thought of that as a potential solution, but I never gave it a huge amount of thought. It only gives you 5" of storage space though. The foam below, with the jack and tools imbedded in it is also a crush zone block. So removing that will compromise the integrity of the car in a rear end situation. I may go out to the hanger, where I keep the magic black material and fab one. It will take some time for the special adhesive to set. Of course, it may be for naught, by the time the glue dries I may be able to buy one on AliExpress.

for the actual trunk/boot area it might be optional for the new raised tray insert that brings it up level, not pictured here.

Yes it looks like a tray to raise the rear floor. Looks like a good idea, also gives a hidden storage area under the tray.

This would be an easy item to make yourself, as shown above in another post.

The tray could be made from plywood with a rubber top made from a standard rear boot mat.

Did a mock up of what it would actually be and hold. Not much. In fact, this is all the stuff I have in the fold up nylon cubby thing that came with the D90. It is just too shallow to really be of any true use. Yes it would be hidden, but really nobody can see what's back there anyhow. Its main benefit would be a floor leveler with the seats down. Which I have items that fulfill the same function. I suppose the JLR price for this will end up at around $979 and when the AliExpress ones come out, they will clock in around, most likely $175~250. There is the problem of raising the floor level, I do fit my bike in back, especially when I go off road (I hate really covered in dust bikes, makes my teeth hurt to hear the chain). Raising it, even that much, makes it nearly impossible to get my bike in then. I am not going to bother making one. If the knock off ones are cheap, maybe, but I think I can live without it.

Great pics - I like the divided seat bench (2/3 + 1/3) which gives me additional value to have a 3rd seat plus extended storage room!
Has anyone of you an idea where to get the separated seats and - if so - are they retrofitable / exchangeable to a D90 MY 23?
thanks 4 sharing any info on this
