2025 P300 hates extreme cold
Folks,
For the second time this winter, we’ve experienced extreme cold temps here in Canada (-30C or -22F)
I start the Defender and all is fine. Drive to the store and when I start it again, I have the Hill logo on the dash and under the shifter flashing on and off and the check engine light turns and stays on.
My OBD2 reader gives code U0102 which is’’Lost communication with transfer case control module’’ first time on January 1st where we had extreme cold temps and today. First time I erased the error code with my OBD2 device and all was fine after that until today where it happened again. I just erased it again, but thought I’d ask what you guys think about it.
Any input is welcome.
ps. The battery is kept fully charged on trickle charger when home. So it was freshly of the charger today.

Well, no huge deal really. Everything worked the both times this happened, and I erased the codes with my OBD2 device. If it ever happens again, I’ll leave it and take it in to service. Just wanna to see if others have had this happen.
I'm in MN, my P300 lives outside and while it's been stiff a little rattly in the cold, it's not thrown any codes. I do wish it would stop fogging up so much on the windshield and front windows. Barely any air comes from the dash vents when on auto, and MAX is annoying to run for any length of time. Heating the windshield helps, but that doesn't last long.

It works.
