Since I'm not going to get my new Defender in this tax year, I would have considered buying yours. If only you had selected the tow hitch, 20" wheels, the console refrigerator, cold climate pack and the third row cooling for our dog. Guess I need to wait for the exact Defender I ordered.

Well, according to this article, some computer systems are back online. So suppliers can get paid, payments from dealers for wholesale purchases can be received, and their parts ordering system is back online. But they have a lot to do to get even one factory in the UK back online by Wednesday, October 1st, let alone the Slovakia factory that makes the Defender.

My wife is giving me a hard time trying to get me to cancel my order due to this mess. I can't say that I haven't had concerns about that, but I don't have another vehicle that I've identified as a fallback. Everything else that I reviewed, test drove, etc has some kind of semi-fatal flaw that just won't work for me (usually driver shoulder space or legroom related, or vehicle size being too long/wide, and some due to low range/efficiency). Hopefully, they sort this out soon and I can get my production date by November (and hopefully it's not March+ 2026).

My order is for the Keswick Green Trophy (D350). Unfortunately, there has been no information released about it since the initial reveal, PowerfulUK's Goodwood July 2026 review, and a video that I saw in German from some Defender event in Germany in August.

While some of that can be retrofitted we are not allowed to purchase any package that starts with "cold" in the state of Texas.

Sorry but have to disagree here - I've hd two P400's and they both outpace the P300 by a country mile. The 2L engine is fine enough but its gutless compared to the 3L engine. It screams to reach. decent pace whereas the P400 does it with far more grace and pick up. There is nothing sluggish about the P400. The P525 was fast enough but once you drive the P635, all bets are off.

We have the P400 in both our Defenders and I have purposely avoided the P525 and P635. We had a 2022 BMW X5 M50i that often turned me into an impatient maniac simply because of that twin turbo V8. I'm a far more courteous and safer driver with the P400 I6 and never feel like it's underpowered.

On another note, I was just told by my salesperson that the Defender I ordered in June to replace our 2021 will not arrive before the end of 2025. So now I need to buy something else with a 6000 GVWR before the end of the year to take advantage of the 179 business tax break. Don't want another X5, Q7 double touch screens are awful, SQ7 has no spare & no run flats, hate the GX mandatory running boards. Leaning toward the Mazda CX-70 or CX-90 for now.

Have you asked your dealer to see if they could search national inventory and try to trade for one that meets your specs or gats as close to it as possible?

No interest in doing that, I want exactly what I ordered. Plan to drive this one for business for a year then pass it onto my wife and keep it long-term. I may still take it whenever it appears. Depends on how much I like driving the CX-90 for the next 4 to 5 months.
