Thinking about selling my 22 Xdynamic with 3500 miles - has 3rd seat, air suspension, roof. 22" black wheels - MSRP was 78K. What do you think I should target on selling it for - put in for an estimate at Carvana so will see where that comes back. Love the car but it doesn't fit well in my garage - just moved to a new place.

 

Definitely advise taking it to CarMax if one is nearby. I've heard that they are offering very high prices. Recommend that you make sure you have it cleaned out well and remove any light mods that look non-standard before going in.

 

Try and find a consignment seller with a reasonable fee. I did that with my Porsche Spyder and pocketed 25% more than if I went to a dealer (had shopped around dealers for a price, but not Carmax). I sold a Camaro ZL1 to Carmax and got more than trade offers, essentially a little more than the tax benefit on a trade-in. For high demand/unique cars which the Defender would qualify for, I would recommend the consignment route. As far as price, really dependent upon availability in your area, check Autotrader prices, and know if you’re selling to anyone but an individual they will want less because they are planning on reselling.

 

Tough to say but I'd say you might get 85-90 for it with the mileage being very low and current model year ... ! Autotrader is a good benchmark right now for 110's/90's.
Also if you are in a city that has SHIFT.com - try them. I've sold them 2 cars for a higher price than anyone else was offering.
