Default 23MY 110 delivery pushed back

Hi,

I ordered 23MY Defender 110 X-Dynamic on 1/26 and the dealer was able to add mine to the allocation aiming for 4/15 delivery.

Last Amendment Possible: 1/26
Build Date: 2/25
Delivery Date: 4/15

The dealer emailed me yesterday said the delivery has been pushed back to 6/10. Is there anyone experiencing a similar issue on the Defender order? Is this likely to be pushed back again?

I'm not an expert, but seems that the dealer may have over promised. My son ordered one on 2/5/22 and was told six months...

We ordered our second Defender in early December and were told it would deliver in May. Two weeks later I was told it would be a June or July delivery. Our kids return from college in May and we need another vehicle then. We cancelled the Defender order and will order an X5, which delivers in 4-6 weeks from order entry.

We'd love to build your P400, but we're focused on getting caught up on orders for P300 at the moment. The four cylinder Defender requires far less chips (no MHEV system) and we have a good amount of demand there that needs to be addressed. Trust me, your car is far more profitable and would normally be on time with the build, but the chip shortage has us operating on rotations.

The good news is that your vehicle will be getting the very latest software updates and incremental quality improvements when we build it.

Hope this helps.
