3.2.0a. New Update
this shows a common spot locally. when someone exits the highway every vehicle i've had with acc tracks them and slows me to their speed. perhaps wa state just has very special roads and highway exits? baffled how others don't experience this.

What 3Words is brilliant. If you haven’t used it yet, highly recommended. When I’m navigating to a sequence of place or want to follow a route, I just use Whats3Words locations (no need to try to find or type in a lengthy address). also good for meeting people at an otherwise unnamed spot in the middle of nowhere.
Insider, would you know any way of stopping the audio starting automatically after a call? Even if the audio is muted or off and then I take a call on Carplay or make a call the music on whatever audio selection it is on comes on. What setting might that be? thx
I have a 2022 Defender P400 SE and was notified on the PIVI Pro April 6th that this update was available. I did as instructed, hit agree, locked the vehicle, and came back 1 hour 25 minutes later (updated said 45 min to complete). Started the vehicle and immediately noticed it ran rough and EVERY fault light on the dash lit. "Brake System Failure", "Suspension Failure", "Transmission Failure", and every warning light ablaze. I immediately turned the car off. Started it again only to have the same result. Over the course of the next 24 hours I tried updating the software 3 more times. Each achieved the same result. The transmission would not select any gear (as it is electronic), so I called Land Rover Roadside Assistance and had the vehicle "towed" to the local dealer the next day. They have now had it for 21 days. All they've been able to tell me is that Land Rover had to create a software patch for them to even be able to communicate with the car. Turns out the ABS Module was corrupted by the update. I was told this also happened to at least one other 2022 Defender at this dealership. Land Rover gave them an update to program the ABS Module. It apparently had some effect and now it is "drivable" according to the service advisor, but all of the faults still remain. Supposedly, it helped the other vehicle. Now we are sitting and still waiting on Land Rover in the UK to create software to be able to communicate with the vehicle. To say I'm frustrated is an understatement. Has anyone else had this or a similar issue from a failed update?
Yes, had a similar experience multiple times. Easily fixed by doing a "hard reset", meaning disconnect the negative battery terminal, wait about 10 minutes, reconnect and good to go.
Traced the bigger issue back to poor cell service at my house. Software updates were interrupted, connections lost and updates restarted or did not download completely. Before installing the last update I turned off the all the Defender cellular network connections and only left it connected to my home Wifi. Software update installed quickly with zero issues.

That is wild, Dave. Wow, a great reminder that while new technology solves lots of old problems and generally makes life better/easier for most people, when it fails it has the ability to fail much more spectacularly than a carb float getting stuck or such.
drive to Los Angeles and I can add adaptive cruise control and the off road pack with Bosch tool I have. Every single defender has adaptive cruise control baked into it because every single defender has emergency braking radar module. It’s 100% oem software no aftermarket parts or add ons. PM me and schedule a trip to LA.
Bummer Dave. You can always lemon law it and start over or go to another brand. Sometimes the remedy is the manufacturer will give you another vehicle free of charge as a trade in. I’m sorry you’re going through this and I know how frustrating it is. I went and bought out of pocket a failed module that was on back ordered but eBay used and installed it myself after I knew the dealership would keep the car for a month or more. Or an independent Land Rover shop could fix it much quicker if you’re willing to spend some money. I paid 80k for my truck and unless it’s tens of thousands of dollars I will usually fix it myself or pay an Indy shop to fix it versus leaving it at the dealership. I bribe my service advisor and simply pick an agreed upon day, bring my truck in, they diagnose it, give, mytruck back and I wait a month or two on back ordered parts then pick a mutually agreeable time to come for the install and wait on it. I do not trust dealerships with my 4 vehicles overnight for ANY reason. Paying a 100 bill for while you wait for it service is the only way I operate. I’m very **** and protective of my vehicle investments. It’s just my personality. It’s part of an extension of my identity. I even paid 2k for the dealership Bosch tool and usually do all of my own repairs. I’m also a contractor do all of my own home fixes, but the one thing I can’t touch and is my Achilles heel is a/c units. I have to pay through the nose and am at the mercy of a/c service companies. Just my 2 cents. I hope it works out for you. Cheers, Mark
Thanks for your reply, Paul. Unfortunately, in this instance the update corrupted things and it did not default back to the pre-update state. Disconnecting and reconnecting the battery didn't change a thing. It seems the update itself was corrupted and not just interrupted during transmission.
I also have 2022 Defender Trek, a 2020 Full Size SVO Autobiography L405, a 2014 Fullsize Autobiography, and a 2014 Dodge Viper GTS. The 2020 and 2022 are both still under warranty, but 100 bucks goes along way to piece of mind and getting excellent service if my Bosch tool can’t get to the bottom of it.
