Default 3 quick beeps?

Since the last dealer visit to fix a few things (and the most recent OTA software update?), I occasionally get 3 quick short beeps, dot-dot-dot

I don’t see any indication on any screen to tell me what this might be. This morning it happened, moving forward at maybe 15mph, as I crossed some railroad tracks (not very bumpy at all).

no screen warnings, no camera coming on, just 3 quick beeps. I can’t relate any external circumstances. My first thought is it is some kind of proximity warning, but I don’t see anything close.

For me, it meant one of the doors wasn't fully closed when trying to lock the vehicle.

To my ears, the pitch and urgency of each of these "three ping" alerts (all which l have heard more than once in my 2020 110S) are different. The front alert is deep, loud, angry and insistent; the door open one is mid-ranged and chirpy; and the state line crossing alert is neutral in all respects -- paced easy and conversational in pitch and volume.

Enjoy !

That text mentions a “haptic” warning also. I don’t think I have ever felt anything.

When I had a jaguar suv loaner from the dealer, the lane keep assist was different from the defender. Instead of the steering wheel being pushed back away from the lane line, the steering wheel in the jaguar just vibrated like you were running over a rumble strip.

The tone, volume & intensity and the visual alert is triggered at speeds over 18MPH. The three beeps indicate the car has detected an object/obstacle in the blind spots at the front corners

Yep, I am triggering the haptic (a new word to me) thing often -- its beeping angrily, yanking the wheel, shaking the wheel, and flashing a big red arrow on the dash regularly. And on long trips she keeps flashing me to rest and get a coffee (pic of a mug on the screen). I yell at her, but it does not help.

The three beeps goes off for the blind spots as well ... Hey Nanny -- I know I am close to something up front -- I put the car there knowingly for gosh sakes.

And she still won't move with the driver's door open ............ ugghhh !!!!

But off-road she makes up for it.

Enjoy!

Not moving with the door open is one of this things that pisses me off so much. After driving original Defenders for years I’m still in the habit of hanging out the door to see when reversing

I think I figured out my 3 beeps. It is coming from the JLR Dashcam, that’s why I don’t see any indication on the defender screens. It’s telling me because of a bump it is starting a recording.
