Default 4.1.5 update?

I've got an update showing 4.1.5. Anyone installed it yet?
It's already in the UK/Europe and it seems to cover a lot of issues I think we've all had?

I installed it a week ago. No big changes I have noticed. Some small things with connecting CarPlay were a little different.

Thanks AVLD. I've not heard anyone saying they got it installed, so if yours went ok then I shall too.

so we just updated earlier this week, and possibly we skipped the 4.1.4 update because we just noticed the annoying route guidance square popping up on the digi dash. Has anyone figured out if there is a way to remove it cause it takes over your screen and doesn’t go away for a whiiiiileeee

I updated to 4.1.5 today. Next time I started my car i get the power steering assistance failure warning and its undriveable. The infotainment system says its 4.1.4 though, so i suspect the update failed in a catastrophic way that bricked my car.

unplugging the battery isnt working, after the holiday i’m going to have to convince the dealer to tow it to them.

Ran the update from 4.1.4 to 4.1.5 after receiving prompt earlier today

Simply lists “Loss of steering assist on start-up” as being the only formally listed fix aside from a general blurb about “…general interface and performance improvements...”

Appears to have run correctly. Will know more tomorrow after a short planned road trip. Of note, I did have a power steering assist loss once a little over a month ago. Happened immediately pulling out the driveway. Like driving a loaded cement truck w.out power steering. Shut off - restart - corrected the issue and it had never reappeared. Hope this update didn’t tickle a gremlin.

Jul 4 edit / update: to confirm after running the update last night I've had no errors in normal drive use today.

Argh, that sucks. Let us know how it works out, hopefully the dealer shouldn't take much convincing.

Cell service at my house is very weak and I had similar software upgrade problems back in 2021. I installed another Wi-Fi router in the room over the garage. Turned off "cellular data" in the connectivity menu and connected the Defender to the home Wi-Fi network. No software update issues ever since, including 4.1.5 on both our Defenders. Maybe try doing the same then installing update 4.1.5 again.
