60 Days Remaining on Warranty
I'd take it in just to have it checked over and have them replace anything that might be bad. I always do that right before one of my cars goes out of warranty.
Timely - so I have 45K miles on my 23 Defender (bought Dec 22, yes I drive a lot) and I talked to the guy at the dealer yesterday who handles the Extended Warranties. He offered the Continental Warranty Inc. for $5100, runs until September 2029 or 150K miles. Coverage looks about right - the big stuff, and the dealer handles all warranty service. Whether I'd confront some big problem down the road is an unknown, but the warranty covers enough stuff that I'll guess I'll get a good chunk of it back and also have peace of mind. Thoughts?
BTW - had the coolant reservoir and sensor replaced last time but the low coolant light kept coming on - they "found aux radiator leaking" and replaced that and the deflector, which tracks other comments here on that subject. I have had zero issues otherwise - although I did have music system sound issues early on that were no doubt software based since they are long gone and have not reappeared.
The only other thought I have is to trade this in on a 2025 - bigger touchscreen and the auto unlock feature kinda cool, but leaning towards warranty extension and keeping this 2023 and paid off Defender in the driveway for now.

My dealer sells an ASC extended warranty, and I'll get one when my factory warranty is up in January. According to my dealer it covers pretty much everything mechanical and electronic, but stuff like interior and trim pieces aren't covered. JLR's in-house extended warranty is only available on cars that are certified pre-owned; you can't get one on a car that was purchased new or a non-CPO used vehicle. And it only extends the warranty by a maximum of two years on top of the original 4-year, 50k mile warranty.

My 2022, at 48,000 miles 3.25 years, has been perfectly reliable, in the sense that it's only been back to the dealership for windshield changes when things hit it, and only gone in to my indy for regular mtc. items.
I am in the process of purchasing a CPO Velar and they got me on the RR extended warranty. This is my first RR ever, and it’s still covered under the warranty for another year so the extended warranty won’t kick in until that’s done. I was told I absolutely had to purchase the extended warranty at the time of this purchase and could not purchase it at a later time. Does anyone know if that’s true? They also told me that I can cancel the extended warranty at any time, before or after the extended warranty starts (which is in a year) and I’ll get a refund. That seems surprising to me as it was likely part of their sales pitch but I believed them… is this true? Since it cost over $5k, I’m wondering based on above comments if I could have just waited and purchased this later if I decide to do so? Thank you so much for any intel and insight on this
