The center left AC vent on my 2023 110 V8 makes a squealing noise when the fan is set to higher levels, see attached video.

Land Rover Newport Beach took a look today. They couldn’t fix it, but they told me one other defender from the Las Vegas area also has the issue and Land Rover has been notified.

does anyone know what causes this and how to fix it?

 

One of our vents has this issue. I was able to turn that airflow adjustment wheel a little to partially close the vent and get the noise to stop.

 

I find clearing dried leaves and debris from the vent area under hood and by windscreen wipers always clears up ac vent squeals.
