Default Adaptive Headlights Coming to the US

About time, now will you be able to get the matrix lights software updated to work here in US. Also, big shout out to Toyota to starting the mention back in 2013.

"By late 2023..." - About the time I'll be able to order a fully spec'd Defender.... (I love my 2022, but I'd love to get one properly spec'd eventually).

Parts are around $8000. Nice enough feature but not worth that.

I just had matrix lighting coded (turned on via software) on my '21 Audi RS6. Granted the car was equipped with the required matrix lights etc, It's game changing!

I wonder what parts are required for the Defender

Pretty sure these are regular Matrix LED's and not the lasers.

For clarity… the Led Headlamps are the matrix headlamps just not activated… something a software update can be done… is this correct? I know that’s the case with Audi and Porsche.

The Matrix LED headlights were supposed to be fitted to our car (UK market) but were downgraded to premium LED due to the semiconductor shortages. Having done a bit of homework on retro-fitting them it turns out you need 2no new market correct headlight units and someone with the capability to code them in. Here’s the parts catalogue entry which may be useful :
