Default Aftermarket power rear door?

My wife is partially disabled and the barn door is a deal breaker for her, has anyone ran into a kit that motorises it?

If you mean a way of opening and closing the door automatically and not just retrofitting the soft close there are kits available from Alibaba in China. Here's a link to the 1st one I came across

Hi,
I miss the power tailgate from my previous vehicle.
Did anyone make an effort to retrofit the aftermarket kit (not to be mistaken with the soft close) and would be keen to share experience ?
I have already ordered it and can't wait to see how it plays, but the S&H is lengthy...

I'll tell you right now, the ONE thing I miss from my previous SUV is that power tail gate. While I totally understand the design concept of the barn door style, I do miss the overhead swing of previous SUVs. My last one, and X5 was absolutely perfect. Split half up, other half folded down as a bench and could stay closed to keep stuff from falling down. I loved that X5, but love my Defender more. Except for the door. I've made my peace with it and am used to it now. But as a father of two small kids, I routinely find myself with hands full, or a lack of space to swing the big wide door out with the spare tire on it.

Anyway I've never seen a power door kit. I've got the soft close which helps. Anxious and following to see your experience once you've got it.
