Does anyone know if there is anything that needs to be serviced for the ionizer on the 2021 Land Rover Defender? Is this just an electronic device? Is there a filter for it?

 

I don't have one on my Defender, but I just looked thru the 2022 Workshop manual and there's only a very brief section. The ionizer is deep within the instrument panel and is only able to activate when the hvac system. Then a very brief description of how it works. I suspect that it does not, but don't consider this definitive.
