Default Air line to passenger air strut under hood

Check this beauty out. I see bubbles around an air line connection when I was cleaning the leaf/pollen gunk off my cowl between windshield and hood area. I did not bump / move the line - I noticed it bubbling.

This is same line (although connection at the other end of it) that a guy had come off while offroad last year (a youtuber, can’t remember who but posted a video about it)

I unbolted the connection with a 12 mm jammed the hose back down in there but it is still leaking, and leaks worse when I wiggle the line *very slightly* with my hand. It's not my first rodeo with these air line connections on other rovers (air springs D2, connections on LR3/LR4) ... so I was surprised that I couldn't fix it by just reseating it. Rather annoying.

By comparison, drivers side is fine. No bubbles when wiggle wiggle.

There are a couple of elements to that connection. The plastic tube runs through the nut. There is a brass collet that compresses around the plastic tube and a small o-ring at the base of the nut. You can, if your inclined, take the nut out pulling the line out. The brass collet is a split type. You can carefully pry the split slightly open and work the collet off the end of the line. You can inspect the o-ring. It is usually safest to simply replace the nut,o-ring and collet. When you do, you carefully slice a bit of the line off square beyond the previously compressed bit of end. Push the nut o-ring back on an then slide the collet back on. You leave around two mm of line protruding. Put this back in and tighten. Fairly simple job.

Thanks @Dogpilot - yep, that's a very accurate description.

I'd reco everyone should check their air lines on top of both struts underhood esp if you have a long trip or Offroad adventure planned.

As above, mine was leaking -- easily found by soap bubbles (which has never been touched since new). Dealer today confirmed it, replaced the brass metal fitting. This is 2 confirmed people on this forum with a similar issue - I'd be checking your airlines for bad connections.
