Alternatives to Belkin Magnetic vent car mount pro?
I’m curious what others are using to (magnetically) mount their iPhones in the interior of their Defenders (when not using the charging pad) so they can view their screens while driving.
the top bar that runs across the width of the car, behind the steering wheel and below the air vents, prevents the use of the Belkin vent mount referenced in the subject line.
I know others have successfully modified their own phone mounts but I’m curious if there is anything that works ‘out of the box’?
I’m using a A-Tach Low Mount with a Apple MagSafe Charger Mount from ProClip for my phone. The charger wire is tucked behind the screen to the plug in on the dash’s USB-C port. Love this set up, holds the phone and charges it.
I find with the wireless charging pad and wireless Apple CarPlay, there is really no need for a phone mount. That’s what all this technology does for us, make things simpler.

A-Tach that @GCSchmidt posted is what I use for my Midland Mic. Also have the Saltek dash mount for an iPhone (link). Finally, have my Warn winch controller on a version of this that PowerfulUk carries (Link). I think I bought it from the guy who makes their boot light, but they source it for the same/similar price and I can't remember that site!
Good luck and post pics if you come up with some other options.
Hey @GCSchmidt , my A-Tach high mount just showed up (the smaller of the two that goes on the top of the dash or console side) .
However, no matter what I do, it just pops off if I breathe on it or move it slightly (and I'm sure that I'm snapping it in properly)... it won't stay mounted. I guess I'll send it back but before I do, is there some trick? Have you had the same problem ?

I really had to bend it under. I secured the top, by pushing it in between the dash the fabric, then pulled it to fit the bottom and it kind of clicked in. It feel very solid.
