Has anyone found a good setup to dash mount a mobile phone? I've used the scosche magnetic mount for years. And got one for the disco but can't get it to stick permanently on the soft surfaces of the dash - it works loose and falls off. Any other suggestions??

 

I use the CD mount from Mountek in my wife’s Q5. They have vent mounts that should work for the D5. I don’t have one been using CarPlay.

I was looking at the Ram mounts that use a suction cup on the windshield. Used in my previous truck and still use it with my other cars. But after getting Carplay I saw no need for it anymore.

 

I use the Nato mount. It is narrow enough on the base to stick with the 3M supplied to the area on the left of the cupholder. It is also a good spot as I have an 8" Iphone cord and it isn't laying all over the place, so I can plug in the Apple play.
