Am I asking for too much?
I'd rather buy new.
They make money on the financing portion and that's why I agreed to finance through them.
I will most likely pay it off within 6 months.
Im not sure if you've ordered before but more times than not that's what I choose to do since im very specific in the options and color I want.
In all cases Ive been able to purchase at or under invoice. "Laughable" is not even trying.
The first offer I made for the truck on the lot was on the second of April and it's still available. I hope they're really going to stick it to whomever buys because if they dont I would have been the better sale.

I think you will be hard pressed to find a Rover dealer to give you the discount you are looking for, even if they "should." My understanding is that there is some reason why Rover dealers don't like to sell to someone outside of their territory so I don't think there is a scenario where you get a Rover dealer offering deals like Howard Bentley GMC in Albertville AL (great place to buy a GMC as Grum.man mentions). My guess is that you will ultimately end up paying more for the car you want if you don't take the incoming unit at a $1k discount. We all feel great when we get a "good deal," but an extra $4k discount on a quickly depreciating $100k car really doesn't make much difference.
2 In stock
1 in transit
2 arriving soon
10 in production
Both are 2025 Model S.
The dealer I purchased my Sport from in NC has a new 2024 Defender SE for $10K off, and it looks like a few other dealers have a similar discount on the same model. Not an X, but maybe a better deal.
