Driver's side on my 2020 went out earlier this week. Thankfully dealer has them in stock and covered under warranty.

 

My chip in the link above went out this week. Only lasted 3 months. I do not recommend! Picked up a whole working headlight on eBay for $475 going to put it on this weekend.

 

cheap chinese made garbage as noted by failure in 3 mos. Buyer beware.

 

Agreed. Although the OEM chips only seem to last a year or two and a new headlight is $3700.

On a side note, replacing the headlight was super
easy, and took about 30mins.

 

I"m having same issue but can't find a shop that will repair it, how did you go about getting it done or any tips to help me convince a shop to do this for me.

 

I ended up buying two working headlights off eBay for $500 apiece. I now have two spares (the originals that burned out) that I can send off when it happens again and not leave a hole in my front end while they are getting repaired. Although I will probably buy the chip from powerfulUK and do the chip replacement myself.

Replacing the headlight on the vehicle is not bad, I can do one in about 20mins now.

FYI - I dug through my emails and found that Brandon at Lightwerkz said he could do the repair if sent in the headlight. You may try reaching out to him.

 

Why not just buy the LED modules for $50 a set and spend an hr or so fixing it yourself? You could have saved $450 to put toward mods. More if you count the repair cost. JLR won't repair it. They only replace at $4k ea. (when you are out of warranty). I laughed at the service guy when he told me the price. I fixed it for less than $75 if you include new headlight sealant. in less than 2 hrs.

 

Passenger side had the same failure recently - replaced under CPO warranty.
