Any guidance lines in the back up camera feature?
Like the title says? I notice pulling into my garage. When I put it in reverse it looks good but after getting off the vehicle, it doesn't look like it will clear the garage door.
Hi,
Are you asking if the lines provide you enough room to get the garage door closed? Or, good looking lines cleaned the garage floor? Or, getting off your defender puts you in reverse? LOL! sorry, a little fun this morning.
I will have to take a look at a defender at the dealership and see how well the lines accurately display the position of the Defender in relation to the ground.

Sorry it was late when I asked. But why doesn't the defender have guidance lines in the rear view camera when you back up in reverse? I usually use this as a gauge if I'm parked adequately inside the garage. Yesterday I parked it with the camera showing adequate room yet when I stepped out to check, It would have hit the spare tire without me knowing. Like my other vehicles, there are guide lines in the picture to show if you will clear the garage door based on the lines.
the front should not be a problem. it is the rear hatch with the spare tire that needs to clear the garage door. normally, there are grid lines to indicate if the rear door can be opened or not.
My idea is to use black electrical tape and marking the garage floor. Put the tape against the garage door. Then pull the car in and put tape where the tire ends, and finally tape diagonal lines between the two tape. this becomes your caution zone. You know you are good if you are in or beyond the caution zone.

Now there are lines on some trucks but not mine. Can't find any other threads talking about this. Was on PIVI 4.0.1 and didn't have lines on my truck. PIVI advised there was an update which seams to have rolled me backwards to 4.0.0___. Seams odd to me I went backwards!?!? And, still no red lines. I do have the yellow tire track guidance lines though, front and back and towing views.
