I noticed this when I bought my Defender…coming from a Disco V (still have it…great vehicle in a different way). The Disco has the reference lines on the rear camera view that change from yellow to red when you are getting too close to say, a wall or closed garage door. They are calibrated to show you how close you can get and still open rear hatch. They work beautifully. Not sure why Defender doesn’t have these for same reason.

TSB 815 Wired update adds these lines.

Anymore information? Do I ask for this at the Dealer? Should they install this automatically without asking? Does this TSB aft anything else? Thanks

Default N815 didn't change mine.

Had yellow tire track lines prior to N815. Land Rover Asheville supposedly performed the N815. Still only have yellow track lines. Do not have red limit/impact lines. Been searching for info on what update will give me the red lines. Not the change in color that occurs when you get too close, the straight red line they should show when your spare will impact.

I guess I am wrong.

I had that TSB and the power drain one done by my dealer recently and the lines appeared. I figured it related to the wired update TSB rather than the quiescent power drain TSB.

the lines are there now regardless. Nothing else was changed.

Regarding TSB’s. Are these something I need to ask for; or should the dealer automatically install these whenever I take the Defender in for any service (eg oil change)?

I always ask and schedule for the ones I need that will fix issues I'm having. I have to travel 2 hours to my dealer and I want to make sure they schedule enough time for everything I want done.
